The FRANZ AWARD is an international porcelain design competition undertaken by Franz Collection Inc. We hope young designers can understand the essence of porcelain culture, present original porcelain designs with elements from this era, bring diversity to porcelain and create a rich experience for modern life.

Since the FRANZ AWARD was held in 2007, Franz Collection has helped gold award winners take part in Maison et Objet Show in Paris through its global resources and channels. These young designers reach out to the world through this international exhibition and bring their award-winning works to the international market for a test in the hope of getting their first order. To them, the M&O is an invaluable opportunity for actual business practice; only by experiencing it themselves can they understand better how the market works and then become designers with marketing concepts.

Starting from 2011, the FRANZ AWARD officially became an international competition. In 2012, we expect to reach out and attract more designers with dreams and talents. We hope that new talents from different countries can deliver cultural values through porcelain, break the original boundaries, and together create more porcelain designs with imagination.
